Graham Humphreys is the artist behind some of the most iconic imagery in horror history. His posters for The Evil Dead, A Nightmare on Elm Street, and dozens of other films didn't just sell movies, they defined how a generation of British horror fans first encountered them, staring out from video shop shelves with an intensity that stayed with you long after the tape went back.
Captured Souls: In Conversation with Graham Humphreys is an intimate portrait of the man behind the art. Told entirely in Graham's own words through candid conversations with friends and admirers including Reece Shearsmith, Andy Nyman, and Alan Jones, the film traces his journey from childhood obsessions to becoming one of the most celebrated visual artists in horror cinema. Director Chris Collier steps back and lets Graham tell his own story, and the result is something rare: a film as warm, funny, and quietly remarkable as its subject.
Premiering at FrightFest and subsequently screened at Manchester Festival of Fantastic Film and Trieste Science+Fiction Festival, Captured Souls has been rapturously received by critics and horror fans alike.
